Mini Monsters; Moan-a & NortonMini-Monsters©, “Moan-a” and “Norton” await your visit to learn how to make them.  These are the first two adorable creatures from a series of Mini-Monsters©.   Created using bead embroidery as a base, “Moan-a” and “Norton” have great personalities.  These are an easy adventure into bead embroidery, while still fun for the experienced embroiderer.

Karen BrunsAbout Karen Bruns:
Karen began surface beading on wedding and bridesmaids dresses back in 1990, as a means to stay home with her children. She later began bead weaving and jewelry making professionally in early 2008.  In late 2008, she began designing her own patterns.

She is an accomplished international bead instructor, having taught bead weaving and jewelry making in Mexico, Indonesia, Spain, and India.   In the U.S., Karen is a teacher at the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee, as well as a vendor, selling her kits and patterns.

She is the inventor/designer of the curved dichroic band for bead embroidery, having collaborated with Sherry Serafini to incorporate this band into a lovely bracelet.  Karen is the creator of Velvet Glass; a smooth matte finish glass with a velvety finish.
