The endings are often the part of the jewelry that people notice first. This class covers a multitude of creative ways to finish Kumihimo braids for both necklaces and bracelets. Students will learn unique, secure closures using hand crafted components. Adrienne will share four versions of her signature magnetic clasp as well as several techniques for creating seamless bangles.

Description

Creative Kumihimo ClosuresThe endings are often the part of the jewelry that people notice first. This class covers a multitude of creative ways to finish Kumihimo braids for both necklaces and bracelets.

Students will learn unique, secure closures using hand crafted components. Adrienne will share four versions of her signature magnetic clasp as well as several techniques for creating seamless bangles.

Instructor will contact students in advance of class to arrange for optional pre-class prep work. Students are encouraged to bring braids to use with the class projects.

Skill Level: Intermediate   Proficiency with peyote stitch working with small cylinder beads (Delica or Aiko), right angle weave experience helpful but not required.

Technique Learned: Bead Weaving, Peyote Stitch
