Metal Clay Foundation SkillsIn the beginning it should not be as much about WHAT you make as HOW you make it. That is why the focus of Metal Clay Foundation Skills is to give you the knowledge, confidence and skills to succeed… the bonus is creating at least 3 impressive pieces with a master instructor whose passion is inspiring others to create.

In this class you will learn all of the essential techniques to work with silver metal clay on your own at home: rolling, texturing, connecting, sanding, polishing, (scratch, satin, and shiny finishes), repairing and patinating. Learn everything you need to get started working with this amazing material, plus walk away with all of your own basic tools!

Cindy PankopfAbout Cindy Pankopf:
Cindy’s 15 year career as a graphic designer is the foundation of her current profession as a jewelry designer / instructor / author. She began with designing and teaching seed beading classes then expanded into metal clay. She is proud to be one of only 7 certified Master Art Clay Silver Instructors in North America, and enjoys creating new designs that will expand her students’ skills and combine different materials.

Cindy teaches classes of her own designs in metal clay and beading regularly. Her goal is to broaden the scope of her techniques and continue designing, and sharing with others. She enjoys instructing locally at her store Cindy Pankopf’s Creative Place in Santa Ana, California and nationally at the Bead and Button Show and other venues.

Cindy has received several awards. She has placed twice in Bead Dreams, was a Finalist in the Toho Emerging Bead Artist and the Silver Accessory contest. Cindy is the author of Beadmaille: Jewelry with Bead Weaving & Metal Rings, and The Absolute Beginners Guide to Making Metal Clay Jewelry. Cindy has also been featured in publications such as Bead & Button and Art Jewelry Magazine.
